I’m Irma L. Olguin Jr., a computer scientist and engineer turned entrepreneur on the West Coast of the United States.
I have lived many stages of a growing business: I’ve helped build companies, nonprofits, and events, from idea to fireworks; been an owner of highly-valued, fast-growing startups; have acquired companies and been bought out of others; and led a wonderful impact-machine to a dangerous place that resulted in catastrophic failure, bankruptcy, broken hearts, and prison.
I was an active contributor and operator every step of the way. I built a lot and I destroyed a lot. I hope to share some of that journey on these pages, someday.
I am a believer in people and community, loyalty and solidarity.
I have done many things to fit the role, including being a salesperson, marketer, figurehead, written contributor, and speaker on tech, business, entrepreneurship, and equal rights.
I’m also a voracious reader, occasional runner, and struggling meditator.
I am in the middle of starting over from scratch.
